I am a sociology-trained, interdisciplinary content creator and writer with a special interest in artistic and cultural forms that emerge from conflict zones and contested spaces throughout the Middle East and the Asia Pacific countries. In 2020, I graduated from the Humanities Department MA program at San Francisco State University where I was a recipient of the Edward Kaufmann Scholarship for four consequent semesters. I am highly interested in the intersection of arts and politics, art writing, and contemporary cultural analysis.
I like to be in action, to blend the theory with real-life experiences, the spirit of the time, emerging cultures, and changing political climates. I believe that interdisciplinary collaborations and knowledge can lead to greater creativity. Because I value interdisciplinarity, the body of my works is informed by a wide range of disciplines and discourses such as sociology, intersectional feminist theory, decolonization theories, criticism, political history through their echo on literature as well as in a broad sense on visual arts.
In my works, I intersect contemporary politics and political movements with the perspective of art as a space of discourse, intervention, and resistance. Besides my academic field, I feel dedicated to animal liberation and environmental issues.
